About the Mexican-American History Maker: Dan Guerrero was born in Tucson, AZ and raised in East Los Angeles. He began his entertainment career in New York where he was a successful theatrical agent with clients of countless Broadway musicals before returning home to Los Angeles where he enjoyed an equally successful time as a casting director for stage and television before turning his talents to producing and directing.
The eclectic producer/director has been twice honored by the distinguished Imagen Foundation for his positive portrayal of the Latino culture in his work. The Dan Guerrero Collection on Latino Entertainment and the Arts has been established in the California Ethnic and Multicultural Archives at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Guerrero has also written and performs a critically-acclaimed autobiographical solo show !Gaytino! that had its 2006 world premiere by the Center Theatre Group in Los Angeles. He has been touring the play nationwide to continued rave reviews when not producing and directing.
